Dr. River Sturdivant
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Sturdivant joined the Arthur Dean Family Foundation in March 2022. She has worked for over 20 years in the fields of philanthropy, education, and organizational development with extensive experience in grantmaking; training design and facilitation; project planning and evaluation. Over the past decade, she has worked with a variety of institutions, school systems, and executive leaders across sectors to achieve strategic outcomes and extract the learning throughout the process. River deeply believes in the power of learning and development to build the leadership capacity of individuals and organizations and she brings this core value to the Arthur Dean Family Foundation’s trust-based philanthropy approach. As a certified Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Coach and experienced consultant, River values mindful listening and honors an individual’s lived experience. She is particularly sensitive to the benefits and challenges of meeting cross-cultural needs having worked or studied in over 25 countries. In addition to her passion for global learning, River is a certified yoga instructor, avid reader, track and field enthusiast, and mother to Noah and Zion Malone.
Tracy Butler
Director of Partnership Strategy + Investments
Tracy Butler joined the Arthur Dean Family Foundation in 2025. She has worked within the nonprofit, educational, and government sectors to advance equity and hope for young people who experience gaps in educational opportunity and economic mobility. Through these experiences, she has developed expertise in youth-centered capacity building, grant making, strategic planning, and program design and assessment. Programmatically, she has been blessed to lead initiatives focused on building systems of support with and for young people that include career and postsecondary pathways, K12 school and community partnerships, and relationship-driven spaces including mentoring and school counseling. Tracy is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Urban Education Studies with a minor in Philanthropic Studies at Indiana University of Indianapolis. She graduated from Tufts University with a Master's degree in Child Studies and Urban and Environmental Policy and received her Bachelor's degree from the University of California of Berkeley. When not working, Tracy loves spending time with her family, being outside on or near the water, dancing, and helping create a world that is move loving and just.
Angela Brito de Rodriguez
Senior Manager of Partner Relationships
Angela Brito de Rodriguez joined the Arthur Dean Family Foundation in December 2022. Angie, as she is affectionately called, is a proud Dominican educator who began her career in education as a high school Spanish teacher on Indy’s Southside. With a decade’s worth of experience in schools, Angie is a bilingual advocate who has served as a classroom teacher, behavior specialist, director of instruction and administrator. Out of the classroom, Angie has worked with local leaders to ensure that students of diverse backgrounds have equitable access to development opportunities; in doing so, she founded a professional development program for Latinx young professionals called Axis. Her work with youth led to her appointment on the Mayor’s Latino Advisory Council where she served as a co-chair. In and out of the classroom, Angie is committed to being a co-conspirator so that historically marginalized communities have access to equitable experiences and opportunities. She looks forward to leveraging her experiences as an educator to continue to provide trust-based support to grantee partners on the collective mission to love and serve youth and families. In her spare time, Angie enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants with her husband and hosting loved ones in their home in Mapleton Fall Creek.
Haley Logan
Efficiency + Engagement Manager
Haley joined the Arthur Dean Family Foundation in April of 2023. Haley has spent the last several years working closely with Indianapolis based non-profit organizations in different roles. She has experience in Project Management, Community Engagement as well as Event Planning and Execution in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. Haley believes that in order to make meaningful and positive change, you must know and understand those you are working alongside, and that is done through establishing trust-based relationships. Outside of work, Haley enjoys trying new restaurants around the city and spending time with friends and family.
Jenny Evans
Manager of Partner Relationships
Jenny Evans serves as the Manager of Partner Relationships at the Arthur Dean Family Foundation, where she helps steward the Foundation's relationship-centered philanthropic approach. In this role, she will manage a portfolio of grantee partners across Marion, Hamilton, and Whitley Counties, supporting investments that strengthen young people and the organizations that serve them. Drawing on her experiences in grant making, community engagement, and public service, Jenny brings strong relational instincts, strategic insight, and a genuine commitment to fostering belonging and shared purpose.
